On September 6, 2024, PTC Founder and IMO Goodwill Ambassador Carlos C. Salinas, alongside Mrs. Carla S. Limcaoco and Ms. Flory A. Tabio, hosted a meeting for officials from the Department of Education’s Schools Division Offices (SDOs) of Malabon, Muntinlupa, and Quezon City to launch My Ship My World (MSMW) 2024.
MSMW aims to introduce the benefits of shipping to young students through weekly email exchanges between Ship Officers and partner-teachers. These teachers then integrate maritime concepts into weekly lesson plans for Math, Science, English, and Social Studies.

Following the initial meeting, all three DepEd SDOs agreed to support the program for their Grade 6 students. Planning workshops were subsequently organized on September 18 and 19 for 84 teachers from Quezon City and 90 teachers from Muntinlupa, representing 33 public elementary schools and approximately 20,000 students.

MSMW 2024 will run for four weeks from September 30 to October 25, 2024. Currently, 11 PTC Principals have committed 45 ships and their Masters to participate, with the goal of encouraging students to eventually pursue maritime careers.
