The PTC-CSJ Foundation successfully conducted the My Ship, My World (MSMW) virtual pep talk and career orientation series throughout May and June. The sessions were specifically designed for high school students at the Sisters of Mary Schools (SMS) Adlas Boystown Campus in Silang, Cavite.

Four distinguished speakers from the PTC Group—Mr. Dean Anthony O. Canson, Jr., C/E Ronald Macalintal, Chef Eduardo Pelisigas, Jr., and Capt. Pol Winston Haboc—shared their personal journeys, educational backgrounds, and the realities of life as Global Maritime Professionals.

Maritime Professionals sharing experiences

Speakers emphasized that the maritime industry offers limitless opportunities for those who pursue their dreams.

The students found the sessions deeply relatable, as many of the speakers shared stories of overcoming financial difficulties and feelings of loneliness—challenges many of the learners face themselves. This connection inspired the students to see maritime careers as a tangible path to success.

To show their gratitude, the students prepared personalized thank-you cards for the speakers and other PTC seafarers, coinciding with the global celebration of the Day of the Seafarer on June 25.

In his closing remarks, IMO Maritime Ambassador and PTC Founder Carlos C. Salinas encouraged the students to remain anchored yet ambitious. He reminded them that no matter how far they sail, their commitment will serve as their compass, and their families will always be their safe harbor.
