The Santa Catalina School (SCS), through the PTC-CSJ Foundation, has donated a collection of books for the students of the Sisters of Mary Schools (SMS) in Silang, Cavite.
The books were formally received by Sr. Imelda Insalada, SM, and Mr. Juan Nebris during a turnover ceremony held on April 22 at First Maritime Place. SCS is an all-girls boarding and day school located in Monterey, California. PTC CEO Gerardo A. Borromeo maintains a strong connection with the school, serving as a member of its Board of Trustees.
The Sisters of Mary Schools is a long-standing partner of the Foundation. The institution provides free academic and vocational training to indigent students from Grades 7 to 12, offering specialized training through various TESDA-accredited programs.
This initiative continues the Foundation's mission to improve literacy and provide quality educational resources to underserved youth in the Philippines, fostering a love for reading among the students of SMS.
