PTC-CSJ Foundation and WWF-Philippines have renewed their annual partnership to implement the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Project. ESD aims to enable schools and communities to act toward a sustainable future by balancing the economy, society, and the environment.
This year’s project successfully trained 70 teachers and conducted interactive sessions with nearly 1,000 students from PTC-CSJ’s 12 public elementary school partners in Muntinlupa City. Held via Zoom, these sessions focused on how education can address pressing sustainability challenges, specifically the impacts of climate change.
The newly launched Camp Kalikasan serves as a digital environmental resource center.
During the sessions, the WWF team introduced Camp Kalikasan, a digital resource center designed for environmental education. This online tool is specifically targeted toward teachers, students, and schools to enhance their stewardship of the environment through accessible digital content.
To further inspire the youth, students also learned about environment-related careers. A conservation scientist and an atmospheric scientist shared their professional experiences, explaining the vital work they do to protect and restore our natural world.
