The PTC-CSJ Foundation successfully piloted a peer tutoring initiative with Alabang Elementary School (AES), a key partner in the Growing Good to Great Kids (3G) Program in Muntinlupa City. The project was designed to enrich the learning experiences of 20 Grade 6 students who have faced significant academic hurdles during the pandemic.

The program focused on three core subjects: Math, Science, and English. For four Wednesdays in June, students attended one-hour virtual sessions led by exceptional young volunteers. These tutors included two Grade 8 students from the Philippine Science High School and a second-year college student from the Ateneo de Manila University.

The initiative not only addressed academic gaps but also provided a unique platform for student-to-student connection. During the closing program, the learners shared heartfelt thanks and positive feedback, highlighting how much they valued the personalized guidance from their peers.

As an added incentive, the students received Jollibee gift certificates donated by the Jollibee Group Foundation and prepaid load cards from PTC-CSJ to help sustain their digital learning requirements. This pilot serves as a foundation for future peer-led academic interventions within the 3G Program.
