The Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Office of Muntinlupa City recently presented a Certificate of Recognition to the PTC-CSJ Foundation. The award acknowledges the Foundation's role in building stronger foundations for learners and communities, improving educational services, and inspiring educators with relentless dedication.
The certificate was presented by the new Superintendent, Dr. Dominico C. Idanan, to Ms. Flory A. Tabio, PTC-CSJ Executive Director, during their meeting on February 3. The meeting served as a platform to present the Foundation’s 2019 Accomplishment Report and discuss plans for the upcoming year.
The Foundation has been a consistent partner of Muntinlupa since 2011, implementing its flagship Growing Good to Great Kids (3G) Program. Key 2019 accomplishments highlighted by Ms. Tabio included:
- Nutrition: 96% of 190 undernourished Grade 1 pupils fed through the program improved to normal nutritional status.
- Literacy: 84% of 479 slow and non-readers showed improved skills after participating in a 15-day Reading Camp.
- Sports: Three baseball teams maintained consistent high standing in four annual tournaments.
As the Foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2020, it will expand its educational reach by supporting five additional schools, doubling its total number of partner schools in Muntinlupa to ten. Dr. Idanan expressed deep gratitude for the consistent support and looks forward to continuing the productive partnership.
