Adopt-a-Ship 2017 Recognition Ceremony

Partners and stakeholders gather to celebrate the successful implementation of the Adopt-a-Ship Project for SY 2017-2018.

Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) and PTC-CSJ Foundation recently hosted recognition ceremonies to honor the five PTC Principals, four schools, and 20 teachers who successfully participated in the Adopt-a-Ship (AAS) Project during School Year 2017-2018.

The AAS Project serves as a bridge between the maritime industry and the classroom, introducing Grades 4-6 pupils to the world of shipping through weekly email exchanges with ship Captains. These interactive sessions allow students to learn about global trade while tracking their adopted vessels on world maps.
