Continuing its commitment to support basic education in the Philippines, Wallenius Marine AB has donated its fourth Kinder classroom/library through the PTC-CSJ Foundation, in partnership with AGAPP Foundation. The new facility was formally turned over on July 20, 2017, to benefit the preschool pupils of Bucal II Elementary School in Maragondon, Cavite.

This turnover marks the second Kinder classroom/library that Wallenius has donated to this third-class municipality. The ceremonies were attended by high-ranking officials including Wallenius Deputy CEO Mr. Jan Berglöw, PTC-CSJ President Mrs. Carla S. Limcaoco, and AGAPP Chairman Mr. Gerry Esquivel, alongside local government and Department of Education representatives.

The donation includes a complete library with diverse educational books and materials.

Wallenius' comprehensive support included the construction of the combined classroom and library space, which is fully equipped with specialized chairs, tables, and other learning furniture. Beyond the physical structure, the grant also provided essential books, materials, and supplies to foster a productive learning environment.

Pupils Celebration

Grateful Kinder pupils of Bucal II Elementary School celebrate the opening of their new classroom.

To ensure the long-term impact of the donation, the program also included specialized training for the school's teachers on the Department of Education’s Kindergarten curriculum, equipping them with the tools to deliver high-quality early childhood education.
