Wallenius Donates Third Kinder Classroom/Library

Continuing its commitment to support basic education in the Philippines, Wallenius Marine AB has donated its third Kinder classroom/library through the PTC-CSJ Foundation, in partnership with AGAPP Foundation[cite: 84]. The new classroom’s happy beneficiaries are 140 Kinder pupils of Bayanan Elementary School (BES)-Unit 1 in Muntinlupa City[cite: 84].

The turnover ceremonies on November 23, 2016, were attended by Wallenius Deputy CEO Mr. Jan Berglöw, PTC-CSJ President Mrs. Carla S. Limcaoco and Executive Director Ms. Flory A. Tabio, alongside AGAPP Chairman Mr. Gerry Esquivel and Trustees Mrs. Pinky Aquino-Abellada, Mr. Eddie Galvez, and Mrs. Gel Caguioa[cite: 84]. They were joined by BES-Unit 1’s Principal Mrs. Jennifer Joson and the school's Kinder teachers and pupils[cite: 84].

Wallenius' comprehensive support covered the construction of the integrated classroom and library space[cite: 85]. The facility is fully equipped with essential school furniture including chairs, tables, and bookshelves[cite: 85].

Beyond the physical infrastructure, the donation provided an extensive collection of books, educational materials, and supplies[cite: 85]. To ensure long-term impact, the grant also funded specialized training for the school's teachers on the Department of Education’s Kindergarten curriculum[cite: 85].
