Annual Reading Festival

Students and teachers celebrate the joy of literacy during the Annual Reading Festival.

The PTC-CSJ Foundation, in partnership with Synergeia Foundation, successfully completed a series of year-end activities for its Growing to Great Kids (3G) Program. The initiatives focused on partner institutions Bayanan Elementary School-Main (BESM) and Lakeview Elementary School (LES).

In September, nearly 200 parents of Grade 1 pupils participated in specialized sessions on Proper Nutrition and Hygiene. Led by Dr. Rey Aquino, these workshops complemented the ongoing 3G nutrition enhancement and feeding programs aimed at supporting malnourished students in both schools.

The daily feeding program remains a cornerstone of the 3G initiative.

Storytelling Session

Interactive storytelling sessions help engage young minds with literature.

Educators also received critical support through two major training programs held at the Ateneo Professional Schools in Makati. These sessions, "Rekindling the Joy of Teaching" and "Effective Teaching of Reading," provided teachers with new methodologies to improve classroom engagement and literacy outcomes.

The year concluded with a visit from the Museo Pambata Mobile Library. Around 400 Grade 2 pupils enjoyed exploring a collection of 300 children’s books, participating in storytelling, and engaging in arts and crafts activities conducted by Museo Pambata staff.
