November marks a double celebration in the Department of Education (DepEd) calendar: National Children’s Month and National Reading Month. In partnership with Synergeia Foundation, the PTC-CSJ Foundation celebrated these milestones with two major learning enrichment events at its partner-schools in Muntinlupa City: Bayanan Elementary School-Main, Lakeview Integrated School, and Sucat Elementary School.

On November 17 and 18, the three schools organized their respective Annual Reading Festivals. These one-day events were packed with creative activities designed to develop a lifelong love for reading among pupils, making literacy both accessible and fun.

Phonics Games

Interactive learning stations help pupils master phonics through play.

Outdoor sessions encourage curiosity and peer-to-peer learning.

The celebrations continued on Saturday, November 26, as students and parents participated in a program featuring the Museo Pambata Mobile Library. Despite the rain, participants enjoyed story-telling, arts and crafts, and interactive discussions that highlighted children’s rights and responsibilities in honor of National Children’s Month.

Educators and staff use visual aids to teach students about their rights and responsibilities.

Learning enrichment activities like these are essential components of the Foundation’s flagship Growing Good to Great Kids (3G) Program. Alongside nutrition enhancement, sports development, and stakeholder training, these initiatives provide a holistic support system for public school learners in Muntinlupa.
