The PTC-CSJ Foundation recently turned over a new Kinder classroom and library to its 3G partner-school, Lakeview Elementary School (LES) in Muntinlupa City, in partnership with the AGAPP Foundation.

AGAPP Foundation is engaged in the construction and development of pre-school classrooms and libraries, known as “Silid Pangarap,” in public schools designated by the Department of Education in depressed and disadvantaged communities.

The Kinder classroom at LES is the second that Wallenius Marine AB has donated through the PTC-CSJ Foundation. The grant from Wallenius supported the complete construction of the facility, including chairs, tables, shelves, blackboards, and other furniture. The donation also provided books, school materials, and specialized training for LES Kinder teachers on the modern curriculum.

Kinder pupils in the new classroom

The new classroom provides a vibrant learning environment for 130 Kinder pupils.

The turnover ceremonies held on July 23, 2015, were attended by PTC-CSJ Trustees Mr. Gerardo Borromeo and Mrs. Christina Manzano, AGAPP Chairperson Mrs. Pinky Aquino-Abellada, Muntinlupa City Administrator Engr. Allan Cachuela, and LES Principal Mrs. Buena dela Cruz. The new facility is now used every school day by four classes, benefiting approximately 130 young learners.
