The PTC-CSJ Foundation kicked off SY 2014-2015 with the expansion of its flagship program, Growing Good to Great Kids or 3G Program, to another school in Muntinlupa City. Lakeview Elementary School (LES) joins Bayanan Elementary School-Main (BESM) as the Foundation’s newest beneficiary school.
The 3G Program is a holistic initiative featuring four core components: nutrition enhancement, learning enrichment in arts and reading, sports development through baseball, and specialized training for both parents and teachers.
In July 2014, the two Schools identified a total of 168 undernourished Grades 1 and 2 pupils. These students have since been provided with a nutritious lunch every school day to support their physical development and cognitive readiness.
Regular monitoring ensures that 100% of the beneficiaries reach a normal nutritional status.
Monitoring results from October show significant progress, with 89% of the covered pupils already achieving a “normal” nutritional status. The feeding program will continue through March 2015, with the goal of reaching 100% success for all beneficiaries.
The impact extends beyond nutrition. In November, a Reading Festival was organized for almost 2,000 pupils from BESM and LES. This annual celebration serves to foster a lifelong love for reading through interactive games, storytelling, and creative educational activities.
