Teachers Intensive Training Session

130 teachers from BESM and LES attend an intensive two-day training at Ateneo Professional Schools.

On April 8-9, 2014, 130 teachers from Bayanan Elementary School Main (BESM) and Lakeview Elementary School (LES) participated in an intensive two-day training held at the Ateneo Professional Schools in Rockwell Center, Makati City.

The training aimed to help teachers lay down a solid foundation for reading among their students. The curriculum focused on critical literacy skills, including phonemic awareness, vocabulary building, word recognition, and the use of storytelling for effective language instruction.

Collaborative Learning for Teachers

Teacher-participants engage in group work and drills to master new literacy strategies.

Led by noted educator Prof. Shirley Equipado, the training team utilized a dynamic mix of lectures, group activities, and demonstrations. Participants found these sessions highly effective for translating complex educational theories into practical classroom techniques.

Final Demonstration Session

Teachers present their implementable Action Plans for the upcoming school year.

As a final requirement, every teacher developed a customized Action Plan for the SY 2014-2015. Respective principals will monitor the implementation of these plans to ensure that the 3G Program's teacher training component leads to measurable improvements in student reading proficiency. This initiative was organized by Synergeia Foundation, our trusted partner in the 3G Program.
