PTC-CSJ Foundation launches a diverse range of education programs for the new school year.

The PTC-CSJ Foundation kicked off SY 2013-2014 with the Nurturing Future Seafarers Project, an initiative designed to encourage graduating high school students from Sisters of Mary School Boystown to pursue maritime careers. Supported by Northern Marine Management (NMM), the project included maritime orientations and educational visits to PHILCAMSAT and Mapúa-PTC CMET.

On basic education, the Foundation’s flagship Growing Good to Great Kids (3G) Program entered its third year at Bayanan Elementary School Main (BESM) in Muntinlupa City. The nutrition component currently feeds 176 undernourished Grade 1 and 2 pupils, supplemented with vitamins donated by United Laboratories.

The 3G sports development component, in partnership with the Junior Baseball and Softball Foundation of the Philippines (JBSFP), also saw expansion. Beyond regular Saturday practice for four baseball teams, the program now integrates math tutorials led by volunteers, using baseball statistics to teach core mathematical concepts.

Lastly, the Foundation celebrated a new milestone in Batangas. In partnership with the AGAPP Foundation, a new library and pre-school classroom were officially turned over to San Luis Central School, providing a modern learning space for the young children of the municipality.
